NEW VENDOR SPOTLIGHT:
The market is excited to welcome Steady Burn Pyrography as a new vendor of the market! They are a wood-burned craft artisan from here in Pittsboro. They will be at the market for the first time this week, so stop by and help us welcome them!
VENDOR PRODUCE LIST:
CATHIS Farm is fully stocked on grass-fed beef and pasture-raised pork, chicken, and eggs! Beef cuts include ribeye, NY strip, sirloin steaks, ground beef in bulk and patties, and ground chuck. Pork cuts include bacon, pork chops, spare ribs, Boston butt, and a variety of sausages. Chicken breasts are back in stock as well as thighs, jalapeno & cheese chicken sausage, and spinach & garlic sausage. Chicken pet chews are also in stock for your 4 legged friends!
Cool Springs Farm is so looking forward to being back at the market this week! For vegetables this week we will have the following: sugar pod peas, asparagus, head lettuce, Swiss chard, kale, Hakurei turnips, beets, kohlrabi, radishes, onions, sweet potatoes, and shelled pecans. For the plant sale we will have Cherokee Purple, Sun Gold, Brandywine, Chef’s Choice, New Girl, Celebrity, Big Beef, and German Johnson (all tomato plants), plus basil, cilantro, lettuce, and other plants.
Edge of the World Farm will be there with herbal extracts, elixirs, creams and salves, dried herbs, herbal tea blends, and herb perennial plants including comfrey, motherwort and chocolate mint. Comfrey makes a wonderful companion for fruit trees. Its roots go very deep and bring minerals and other nutrients to the roots of the fruit trees and bushes. Sheets with details for growing will be provided.
Four Dog Farm will have tomato transplants for the plant sale: Cherokee Purple, Celebrity, Sun Gold cherry, Plum Perfect paste, and several other heirloom varieties. Our CSA is opening this week, but if there is any extra produce we will bring it for individual sale – probably plenty of salad mix and a small amount of arugula.
Thistle Draw Farm will be there with pastured pork and (probably) “free-to-range” eggs. Pork cuts include porterhouse chops, loin chops, ground pork, Boston butt roasts, picnic (shoulder) roasts, spare ribs, sweet Italian sausage, spicy pork sausage, breakfast link sausage, maple breakfast link sausage, smoked, uncured bacon, organ meats, and leaf & back fats.
Steady Burn Pyrography will be at market for the first time with wood burned magnets and other decorative wood burned art!
